Sunday Roundup

I came to a bit of a revelation this week over on the ‘gram. I thought I’d share it here in case you missed it, and in case you could also use a bit of permissions to accept this slow season for what it is. Don’t worry, the regular roundup is just below, so if you aren’t into my incredibly prolific internal thoughts (she said dripping with sarcasm), scroll down.

Sunday Round Up

Good morning friends! Happy Sunday! I tried on my wedding dress yesterday. It was the first time since sometime last spring and I was a little worried that it wouldn’t live up to the hype it had after I “said yes to the dress”. I’m happy to report that it did.

Friday Introductions: 10 Things About Me

I figured it was time for an introduction to the gal behind the blog for those that may not know me! I’ve been seeing more readers lately than ever before and from all over the world, which is AMAZING! Who knew this blog could reach people in the United Kingdom, South Africa and even Australia - HELLO FRIENDS.

Sunday Round Up

Hey! Happy Sunday! I’m writing today’s post from my favourite spot in the house - the kitchen island. BH is meal prepping (he’s the real MVP) and we’re listening to the Hangover Friendly Playlist on Spotify which, I might add, is great even when you’re not hungover.

Wedding Plans: How We Found Our Wedding Photographer

From vendors to menu to honeymoon plans, I’ve had a ton of questions about our wedding. I thought I’d start to share some of the details as our big day approaches – hopefully my tips and tricks will be useful or at the very least, satisfy your nosy self (no shame). For our first dive into the wedding planning trenches, I’m talking all about how we found our photographer…

Sunday Round Up

It’s weeks like these that I find myself thankful for the slow seasons. Thankful for rest and schedules that aren’t filling up the square of every single day on the calendar, and then some. This week was uneventful, but it felt so damn good to seek joy in the simplicity of a cup of coffee in the morning and a chapter of a good book to cap off the day. Simplicity. That’s the name of the game right now, and I’m about it.

2019; New Year, New Goals

This New Year’s Eve felt a little different. I felt inspired and motivated. I had so many ideas for goals, and hopes of reaching major milestones in all of the aspects of my life. And then the buzz wore off and I snuck away to slumber through the wee hours of the morning, extra careful not to drool on my freshly laundered bedding.

Sunday Round Up

Well shit, the holidays flew by didn’t they? I guess this whole year seemed to go by at a lightning fast pace. I’m writing this Round Up as the cherry on top of a day filled with small joys. A slow start, a leisurely grocery shop, building an ice rink in our back yard with pals and competing in a ferocious Super Smash Brothers tournament.

Sunday Round Up

With the hustle and bustle of the holiday season, it’s been hard to make time to sit down for a while and write. I just popped a loaf of banana bread into the oven and thought I better hop on the blog and get some shit done. I’ve got a few links from around the web that I think you’re going to be about. So let’s get into it shall we?

Giving Tuesday

I’m going to challenge you to think about ways that we can give back to those that are less fortunate, or how we can give thanks to the people in our lives that we often take for granted. Not just because it’s Giving Tuesday but because everyone needs a little bit of wonder and a sprinkle of hope this holiday season.

Sunday Round Up

I’m back with another sunday round up after a couple of weeks off. I’ve been a little MIA and I have to apologize. Things get a little hectic this time of year. We’ve got birthdays and holiday schmoozing and general Saturday adventures leading to Sunday hangovers, so sue me.

30 by 30

I turned 27 last week. What’s with 27 anyways? It’s the corduroys of your 20s. Not those chic skirts that fashion bloggers are wearing now but those pants from Oshkosh you wore in 4th grade that we’re way too short; underwhelming and holding no real significance other than being a phase we all have to pass through. Yep, corduroys.

Sunday Round Up

Good morning! Happy Sunday, friends!

It was a big week on the blog - I FINALLY got part one of the Malta trip posted (if you missed it, check it out HERE). I’ve also been working on a project that I am SO SO excited about that encompasses some of my favourite things (think Gilmore Girls and cooking).

Anyway, enough about all that - here’s some fun stuff I found on the web this week:

Malta, We're In You: Our Travel Recap Part One

Still wiped from our flights, I was glad to have a leisurely day at the beach in Melliha. We had some breakfast in the apartment and gathered our beach supplies. We took the public bus to the beach and picked our spots under the cutest beach umbrellas. We swam in the Mediterranean which was beautiful and crystal clear and grabbed a bite to eat at the beach restaurant.

Sunday Round Up

In another interesting turn of events, we found mould in the attic of our new home - see, not everything is perfect all the time! Annnd now that you’re up to date on our week, check out the links below to see some of the cool stuff I found this week.

A Day at Terre Bleu

Terre Bleu is a Lavender Farm in Campbellville, Ontario but it might as well be a scene straight out of the Wizard of Oz. It really was one of the most beautiful places I’ve ever seen. Rows and rows of lavender in varying shades of purple.
