Sunday Round Up
Good morning! Happy Sunday, friends!
It was a big week on the blog - I FINALLY got part one of the Malta trip posted (if you missed it, check it out HERE). I’ve also been working on a project that I am SO SO excited about that encompasses some of my favourite things (think Gilmore Girls and cooking).
Last night was our first free Saturday in months and was it ever wild - we organized all of our storage boxes and our laundry room and filed all of our paperwork in our shiny, new filing cabinet. Just WILD. But in all seriousness, I was glad to cross some things off of our to-do list and start really getting settled in the new house.
Anyway, enough about all that - here’s some fun stuff I found on the web this week:
These questions to ask your boss - some companies are now holding retreats or symposiums to allow all employees easier access to upper management which means more resources, different perspectives and advice from successful mentors in your industry, very cool!
A quick design tip on hanging art which has been VERY helpful. I really enjoy Jacquelyn’s blog and I’m glad that she’s decided to share tips and tricks for those of us that are less design savvy.
The New York Times’ interesting look at the man behind New York City’s clocks. Yea, someone actually changes them for daylight savings time - BY HAND!
This harvest inspired cocktail that is the perfect segway from Summer Sangria to Spiked Holiday Cider.
A reminder that hosting a dinner party doesn’t always mean making everything from scratch. Sometimes the best times are paired with a bucket of fried chicken and a beer on your front stoop.
If you like any of these links, let me know. I’d love to discuss them with you! Reach out by leaving a comment below or shooting me an email at samantha(at)thecatchallblog.ca.
