Let's Catch Up!

Holy, was that a wild summer.

You might be wondering where I’ve been. Don’t worry! I didn’t abandon you!

Sometimes, we just get busy doing real life and that online presence goes by the wayside.

I wanted to take some time to fill you in on what’s been happening these days. I’ve been experiencing change in every aspect of my life so with some time to come up for air, here it goes.

We got a puppy!

We brought Easton home in July and he has very quickly filled our hearts and our spare time. I never had a dog growing up so this was an entirely new experience for me. He’s a Cane Corso with a blue-brown brindle coat and we expect him to be a tiny 110 pounds when he’s fully grown.

I was worried that being a dog owner wasn’t my forte, but I persevered and he’s got a bunch of tricks down pat and is sitting right next to me as I write so I must have done something right.

My number one take away? You can guarantee that if you’re not keeping a close eye on your pup, they will undoubtedly pee on your floor.

I moved away!

As if being responsible for keeping a little fur ball alive wasn’t enough, I’ve been living and working out of town since the end of August. The day job often takes me to new projects but this is one for the books. I’m working about 3 hours away from home so the adjustment has been something I’m trying to get a handle on. Unlike most of my peers, I stayed local for university so this is my first attempt at living away from home. I’m lucky to be working with a great group of people and we spend a lot of time together after work so it’s not as lonely as I anticipated.

Since heading out to the new project, I’ve been coming home every weekend because…

We’re engaged!

On top of fur-parenthood and job relocation, why not also plan the biggest party of my life?

We’ve been scoping out venues and spending an ungodly amount of time on Pinterest so it’s safe to say that life is pretty hectic these days.

The wonderful part of blogging is that as life changes, your content can expand. So fair warning that recipes for dog biscuits and posts to help you DIY your entire wedding may or may not be coming at ya!

But enough about me...

How have YOU been?
