Fall Farmer's Market List
I’ve got a heart that battles between loving Spring while also loving Fall. How can one possibly love a season full of growth AND a season of ending, all at once? On one hand, there are buds growing into leaves and flowers blooming, while on the other, leaves change colour, falling to the ground making room for snowy branches. But I figured it out.
Because even though the Fall represents a time of ending and transition, it also means that apples are at their best, salted caramel and chunky sweaters are back and peppermint is just around the corner.
So every year, I find myself increasingly infatuated with the crunchy leaves and foggy mornings and gourds, yes gourds.
If you love Fall as much as I do, then you’ve already got this list memorized but if you don’t, worry not. I’ll convert you yet. In my humble opinion, Fall is the BEST time to hit the farmer’s market. It’s like a scene right of out Gilmore Girls. You MUST try it. And when you do, bring this list.
Broccoli (rabe and rapini)
Now hurry, and get to the market before all the good stuff is gone!
